Ahmed Moustafa

Ahmed MoustafaI was born and raised in Alexandria, the shining pearl of the Mediterranean. I obtained my BS in Computer Science from Alexandria University. Then, I earned my PhD in Genetics from the University of Iowa. Presently, I am a post-doctoral research fellow at the J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI) in the Department of Microbial & Environmental Genomics. My research interests are genome evolution, comparative genomics, metagenomics, evolution of gene regulation, and high performance computing.
